SATOP GUIDELINES: PLEASE VERIFY THAT YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • The request must articulate a distinct and identifiable technical problem.

  • The requesting business or entrepreneur must have been unable to solve the challenge with the resources available to them.

  • Technical assistance requests are limited to small businesses (less than 500 employees).

  • Individuals or inventors without a valid business license do not qualify.

  • The business must be owned and operated in the State of Texas.

  • Requests must not involve competition with commercially available products or services. SATOP does not compete with commercially available products and services.

  • The requesting company must possess a patent, provisional patent, prototype, or engineering drawings.

  • A designated point of contact, available for interaction through phone calls and emails, must be assigned by the requesting company.

  • It's important to note that SATOP cannot work on Information Technology (IT) challenges.
